CALLED IT is a free-to-play daily sports prediction game. This privacy policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, and your rights under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

• Email address -- provided when you create an account, used for authentication.
• Display name -- chosen by you, shown on tables and your profile.
• Play history -- your daily picks (YES/NO predictions), XP totals, streak data, and achievement progress.
• IP address -- recorded automatically in server logs for security and abuse prevention.

Why We Collect It

We process your data on the legal basis of legitimate interest and, where applicable, your consent. Specifically, we use your data to:

• Create and maintain your account (authentication and profile).
• Record your predictions and calculate results, XP, streaks, and achievements.
• Display tables and crowd percentages.
• Analyse aggregated, anonymised usage patterns to improve the game.

Who We Share Data With

We do not sell your personal data. We use the following third-party service providers to operate CALLED IT:

• Supabase -- database hosting and user authentication. Your email, display name, and play history are stored in Supabase infrastructure.
• Vercel -- website hosting and edge functions. Server logs (including IP addresses) are processed by Vercel.
• API-Football -- sports data provider. No user data is shared with API-Football; we only retrieve fixture and result data from their service.
• Google Analytics (GA4) -- web analytics service provided by Google LLC. With your consent, we use Google Analytics to collect anonymised usage data (pages visited, session duration, device type, approximate location) to help us understand how the game is used and improve the experience. • Meta Pixel (Facebook) -- analytics and advertising tool provided by Meta Platforms, Inc. With your consent, we use the Meta Pixel to measure the effectiveness of our advertising and understand how visitors interact with the site. Meta may process this data on servers outside the UK. • Google AdSense -- advertising service provided by Google LLC. We use Google AdSense to display advertisements on the site. AdSense may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites. You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.

Cookies

We use the following types of cookies:

• Strictly necessary cookies -- required for authentication and maintaining your login session. These cannot be disabled.

Data Retention

While your account is active, we retain your personal data and play history to provide the service. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data (email, display name) within 30 days. Your historical picks will be anonymised and retained in aggregate form for the purposes of maintaining accurate crowd statistics, but they will no longer be linked to your identity.

Your Rights

Under the UK GDPR, you have the right to:

• Access -- request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correction -- request that we correct any inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Deletion -- request that we delete your personal data.
• Data portability -- request your data in a structured, machine-readable format.

Children

CALLED IT is not directed at children under the age of 16. Users must be at least 16 years old to create an account. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a user under 16, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.
